Nina is a lover of pets and children. Prior to establishing her pet sitting career she spent 15 years in the classroom teaching in California. Born
and raised in Northern California, she has always been an animal lover and
outdoor person. As a child she grew up skiing and backpacking in the Sierras,
and spent many summers on her family's working sheep ranch in rural Mendocino
County where spring and summer days were spent horseback riding and helping
with shearing and ranch chores. She settled in the Santa Cruz Mountains with
her husband Scott, where they now live with their two dogs, a recently adopted
Aussie Shepherd named Chip, and a 3 lb Chihuahua ,Fajita, who rules the roost! She can most often be seen hiking on one of
the many amazing dog friendly trails in the Santa Cruz Mountains, her favorite
pastime. She is also an artist/ painter, and prefers to paint on site, en plein
air, in the spectacular surroundings where she is blessed to live. In addition,
she is available to do pet portraits. She looks forward to meeting, working
with and walking new animal friends, and is honored to be an independent
contractor for the amazingly animal savvy, compassionate and competent Amore Pet Sitting Services!
